Installation
After purchasing, you should receive an email with containing the download link for the application and your registration code (if applicable). After downloading, you will need to set permissions. You can choose No when asked if this should be a Trusted Application. You will need to grant some permissions to the application; it requires these to run. Select Save to apply the pre-selected permissions.
To register the app, first open it. Press the menu key and then Register. Enter the code provided in your email, and your new application is registered.
Using SixTools

The majority of the tools are located in the Main tab.
Show Video on Start up: You know that nice-looking BlackBerry OS6 video that only plays the very first time you turn on your phone (or right after an upgrade)? Setting this to Yes will play that video every time your BlackBerry restarts. Volume control and a test video button are also included for your benefit.
Slider Sounds: Add a little fun to your Torch with these slider sounds. Choose one of twenty short sounds to play when you open or close the keyboard on your Torch.
Holster Sounds: When placed in your sleeper magnet-equipped holster, add a little audible quip by selecting one of these 20 sounds. Select a sound to play when your BlackBerry goes in and comes out of your holster.

Orientation Lock: An essential tool on the BlackBerry Torch. Force your BlackBerry to stay in portrait or landscape or portrait mode no matter what way you hold your smartphone. From any menu on your BlackBerry, selecting Orientation Lock will open the popup. Once set, your phone will stay in the desired orientation until you unlock the phone. Again, select Orientation Lock from any menu and choose Un-lock when the popup opens.

Battery Indicator: The battery meter that appears on your BlackBerry is not exactly what one could call accurate. The SixTools Batter Indicator is more accurate and can be set to display the exact percentage remaining. There are two types of indicator; choose between modern (just displays the icon) and precise (displays the icon and the percentage remaining).
Low Battery Popup: The battery in your BlackBerry works best when its charge stays above 20%. Remind yourself when your BlackBerry needs a quick charge. When your battery gets below the Low Battery Level, you’ll be alerted with a popup message and a flashing LED. In your sound profiles, you can choose any sound to alert you as well. Touch or click “Open Profiles” and then edit the profile of your choice, usually Normal.

USB Connected: When you connect your BlackBerry to a computer with a USB cable, sometimes you just want to charge it. Of course, every time you do, your BlackBerry asks what you want to do with that connection. And won’t stop asking until you choose. Setting the USB Connected option to Yes will dismiss that popup automatically after five seconds and leave your phone in Charge-Only mode.
Cradle Unlock: Let’s say you have your BlackBerry Torch locked in portrait mode. You place it in the charging cradle and the clock opens up. Only it’s sideways. Setting Cradle Unlock to Yes will prevent that. The option will unlock the orientation just while it’s charging. Once the BlackBerry is out of the cradle, the phone relocks into portrait mode.
Status

On this tab is a variety of detailed information about your BlackBerry. Operating system version, IMEI, PIN, and even the temperature of the battery can be found on this screen. Clicking the Refresh Stats button will update all of the information on the screen. Event Log and Network Diagnostics are tools already built into your BlackBerry to diagnose problems. SixTools makes it easy to access them.
Shortcuts

Shortcuts turns your volume up, volume down, and mute keys into instant launchers for many programs. Please note: While using media applications (videos, music, Pandora, Slacker, etc.) you will be unable to use your Shortcuts to launch apps.
To begin, you’ll need to assign applications to those keys. Open the app and you’ll see Volume Up, Volume Down, and Mute with drop-down menus to the right. Use the drop-down menus to select any of the available applications. BlackBerry features like the calendar and Voice dialing can also be assigned to a key.
Once applications have been selected, that’s all there is to it. Exit the application to begin using your new convenience keys. Just press the Volume Up, Volume Down, or Mute key to launch your desired app.
Backup and Restore
Generally, application settings are not restored after updating or upgrading your BlackBerry’s operating system. Rather than force you to reenter setting after setting, SixTools provides a backup and restore option. While in the app, press the menu key to open the menu. Selecting Backup to SDCard will save a copy of your application settings on your microSD memory card. In the event that you need to restore from the backup file, you’ll find that option in the same menu.
